Camp Joy is located in Costa Rica, Central America and has been in operation since 1982. This ministry was founded by veteran missionary Dr. Danny White and has reached countless young lives. The camp is currently being directed by second generation missionary Jonathan White.
In the past 10 years Camp Joy has experienced phenomenal growth and needs to expand the current facilities and programs to further assist and reach the youth with their spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
Camp Joy was developed to accommodate youth from low income families. All of Camp Joy's assets have been donated over the years by churches and individuals who share in their vision. They desire to give the youth a place to learn and develop their lives in a wholesome, Bible-based environment.
Here are the current needs for Camp Joy:
1. A new boy's cabin

2. A new multipurpose building, which will include:

- an assembly hall
- a fully furnished kitchen that meets government requirements
- kitchen staff quarters, and

3. Finish existing girl's cabin
The attendance at the camp has grown to such large numbers that it is being forced to either improve the infrastructure or downsize the number of young people who may attend the camps.
The average attendance is 125 campers. The facilities were built to accommodate only 60 and they would like to reach as many young people and children as possible. Motors for Missions' goal is to finance the developement needs of Camp Joy.
